Joomla 1.5 reviews: Templates, components, modules

Quasar by RocketTheme makes use of a Gantry Joomla Template Framework.  There are 6 presets in the backend.  Settings include link colors, font size and font style (see image 2 for presets).  Nice touch!  Layouts are customizable  (see image 3 for layout options).  While offering lots of bells and whistles, this template is not for the beginner.  Disappointingly, it does not appear to follow the Joomla! positions.  There is no main menu without re-setting module positions.  Again, not easy for the unacquainted.  The template passed our cross browser check in both Firefox and Internet Explorer and there were no problems installing the template.  

While there was plenty of flexibility in the layout, there was no real identifiable theme to the template.  The color scheme while adapaptible also appeared a little lifeless.  Overall, I liked the customizable settings and layout, but thought the template lacked any unified theme.
