Joomla 1.5 reviews: Templates, components, modules

Designed by moyoo - website design and sponsored by duesseldorfer-matrix.  This two column template has a decidedly European feel that is simple, but sophisticated.  It is clever, but not overly complex.  The use of a transparent layer permits the template to maintain a consistent theme.  The chocolate colored header and main menu modules are tasteful and do not distract or detract from the overall design.  The menus are nicely highlighted in a softer shade of brown and the links are relatively easy to spot. 

The one criticism is the placement of the search box module at the the bottom of the page.  While not a big issue, it does not really appear to make sense.  Also, as noted in image number three of the photo gallery, there is blue gutter that appears depending on your screen resolution.  It would of been better to set a black background image to blend in with the design.  The template easily passed our cross browser check in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.  Furthermore, it uses the standard Joomla! Positions.  With no parameters, the template is not easy to customize without CSS modification.  Overall, a template with artful design well suited for a travel site, a travel diary or a site with a relationship to Europe.  Excellent!
